Alstom Sizhou Prepares for the international Market
Alstom Sizhou passed the final audit on 3 management system certification of LRQA (Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance) successfully on 26th June, 2009, including ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 Certificates. Sizhou was the first company of its kind in China to get these Certificates in 1999. To keep conformity with other Alstom units and prepare for receiving oversea orders, the company decided to apply the 3 certificates from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance, which is widely recognized internationally. After preparation for about half year, Alston Sizhou passed both the first and final audit smoothly. The certificates will arrive at Sizhou before August. By this achievement, Alstom Sizhou is not only maintaining his competitive status in domestic market but also step forward in approaching oversea market. “Getting certificate is merely a start, which means we are facing an even larger challenge: maintain smooth operation of the systems and continuous improvement,” as proposed by David, QA&EHS Manager of Alstom Sizhou. The action plan of continuous improvement has already been issued including regular internal audits to each department in the company.
The next target of Alstom Sizhou is to get the DIN18800-7 (Certification of Qualification for Welding of Structural Steelwork) before end of year, related work has started.
